    2025 saw Ethiopia's Selemon Barega and Medina Eisa win the men's and women's 10km races at the Great Manchester Run.

    Barega, who was Olympic champion in the distance on the track at Tokyo 2020, won last year's men's race in 27 minutes and 49 seconds.

    Two Brits were able to crack the men's top 10 in 2025, with England's Alfie Manthorpe fifth and Welshman Dewi Griffiths in eighth.

    In the women's 10km, there was a comfortable win for the then 20-year-old Eisa in 30:42.

    Whilst British athletes Amy-Eloise Neale and Verity Ockenden finished seventh and ninth respectively.

    The 10km and half marathon routes will both start and end in central Manchester, taking runners round a host of famous landmarks in the area.

    10km runners will go past Manchester United's Old Trafford, whilst half marathon runners will see both the red and blue sides of Manchester, travelling past both Old Trafford and Manchester City's Etihad Stadium en route to the finish line.
