About Maria
Maria isn't new to public speaking, as a member of her school's debating club.
Maria is considering a science-based career, following in her father's footsteps.
Maria loves the opportunity to express her views and enjoys learning new skills, when it comes to arguing in a well-mannered way.
She finds public speaking boosts her confidence and is keen to gain as much experience as possible of speaking in front of an audience.
Maria regularly contributes to her local radio station. She also enjoys reading and playing as a goalkeeper for her local football team.
Is Maria The Speaker?
Maria's application speech was about the serious subject of gender inequality.
Her strong delivery, presence and natural speaking style secured her place in Final Eight.
Maria reached the semi-final (Episode 7) of The Speaker.
