US insists its peace plan is best way forward

The high representative for Gaza for Donald Trump's Board of Peace has insisted that the US- backed peace plan for the territory is the only way forward. Nickolay Mladenov said further talks were under way that he hoped would lead to a positive outcome. His comments came after Israel rejected the plan, saying its troops would only withdraw from the territory once Hamas had handed over all its weapons.
