US "very close" to a deal with Iran

Newsday

Available for 29 days

US Vice-President JD Vance has said that the US and Iran are very close to a deal but there are still several sticking points before a deal can be reached. The deal would reportedly extend the ceasefire for 60 days and launch talks on the future of Iran's nuclear programme. We look at what Israel's commitments are to a peace deal when it comes to it's campaign against Iranian backed Hezbollah in Lebanon. We speak to the World Health Organization about their plans for combatting the deadly Ebola outbreak as the head of the organisation pays a visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo. And we get reaction from Kenyan health professionals about a reported plan by the US to set up an Ebola quarantine and treatment facility in the country.
