For the first time since the 1960s, services from the Worcestershire town will connect with commuter trains from West Midlands Railway The eight-week trial is being rolled out on the railways, with heritage steam and diesel trains operating over the three-and-a-half mile section of the Severn Valley Railway between Kidderminster and Bewdley. Passengers can use standard rail tickets to travel part of the journey over the historic heritage railway. Trial services began on 1 September 2026. BBC Hereford & Worcester's Tom Edwards reports.
