Stan Cantrill has competed in judo since he was a child and continues in to his eighth decade. He took up the reins of Hereford Judo Club when there was no-one else to do so, laying the foundations for decades of success and teaching generations of pupils in the process. Stan is a finalist in the BBC Hereford & Worcester Make A Difference Awards 2026, in the Active category.
