Coronavirus - questions and answers

David Burns

Available for over a year

Burnsy's panels of experts answer your questions about local coronavirus measures: Chris Blacksell, the Chair of the Humber Local Resilience Forum; Jilla Burgess-Allen, North Lincolnshire Council's Senior Consultant in Public Health; Dr Peter Melton, Clinical Chief Officer the North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group. Hull is still top of the list of worst affected areas for infections - we've talked a lot about what the city council believes needs to be done to bring the rates down - they've called on government to provide more support. The good news there is that the Prime Minister has said that he will meet with representatives from the Hull to discuss what the city needs. But what about other parts of our region? - North East Lincolnshire is 11th on the list and rising infection rates in North Lincolnshire is in the top 20. Things are being done - we're two weeks into a four week lockdown with a big question-mark over what happens when it ends. Pubs are shut, lots of shops are closed and lots of people are doing everything they can to keep the rules about not mixing and staying home as much as possible. But not everyone is playing by the rules. What do we need to do and how can we help each other to get coronavirus back under control?
