Classical Mixtape

Available for 29 days

Enjoy half an hour of back-to-back classical music to help wind down at the end of a busy day. Today's eclectic mix begins with a beautiful piano concerto by Dora Bright, and a mysterious dance from the ballet Spartacus by Khachaturian. There's a flute sonata by Mel Bonis, a brass version of the folk song "The Lark in the Clear Air", and the famous "Nimrod" from Elgar's Enigma Variations. Raphael Wallfisch plays a lovely Concertino by the Polish composer Meczysław Weinberg, and the sequence ends with part of Christopher Tin's haunting elegy to bird species driven to extinction.
