What's in Vernon's Vault?

Available for 29 days

Vernon's mid-morning fun includes delving into the BBC archive in Vernon's Vault, but where and when are we going to today? Plus, two new listeners take on the mid-morning music quiz Ten to The Top. In Tracks Of My Years, we continue our ten-track journey through the life of a special guest - and this week it's writer, comic and actress Meera Syal. Today she tells Vernon about seeing Nina Simone play an intimate live show at London's Ronnie Scott's jazz bar, and what it was like to perform The Kumars' #1 Comic Relief single with Gareth Gates on Top Of The Pops. All amongst some great music to keep you smiling through the morning. Listen to Vernon’s full conversations with his guests for Tracks Of My Years on BBC Sounds, and watch on BBC iPlayer and Radio 2's YouTube channel, just search for 'Tracks Of My Years'. A BBC Audio production for BBC Radio 2.
