Adam Walton introduces an exclusive interview with retired NASA Astronaut and current Ambassador for Florida’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Winston Scott. Born and raised in Miami, Winston initially aspired to become a musician before enlisting in the US Navy in 1972. During his US Navy career, he served as a helicopter pilot, completed a tour of duty as a fighter pilot, and held several distinguished operational and engineering positions, eventually being promoted to the rank of captain. NASA selected him to become an astronaut in 1992, and he spent a total of 24 days in space across two missions. Winston Scott discusses his adventurous life and career, introducing us to his passion for flying, karate, and jazz music. Plus, we hear from Paralympic Sprinter and Surgeon, Dr John McFall, who is part of the European Space Agency’s Astronaut Reserve Programme. Co-Presented and Produced by Stuart Russell.
