Both Davies and Parsons have recently called on the WRU board to step down. Parsons wrote to the First Minister, Rhun ap Iorwerth, asking to discuss "what practical role the Welsh Government could play in restoring trust, accountability and unity to Welsh rugby". Meanwhile, the Welsh Rugby Union have described the move as "wholly unhelpful to the long term health and success of the game in Wales." They have also written to the Welsh Government in response.
