First plays of new music from Feet and Fat Dog

Steve Lamacq

Available for 29 days

Ahead of Wednesday's Deep Dive into The Strokes, Steve has dug out the first ever BBC interview with the band, when he chatted with Julian and Albert on the 13 February 2001. The pair, a little tired and emotional on their first trip to the UK, chat with Steve about the band and how Europe, and in particular, Britain has embraced them before America. This Wednesday 6 Music is celebrating 25 years of The Strokes ‘Is This It’. Throughout the day we’re playing their debut album in full, in order, in our daytime shows. The tracks will be accompanied by archive and specially recorded voicenotes from artists and creatives talking about the influence of The Strokes and Is This It. In addition, we’re playing wall-to-wall music from 2001 to reflect the era. Plus, Steve has first plays of new music from Feet and Fat Dog. Produced by BBC Audio for BBC Radio 6 Music.
