The 80s icon Claire Grogan joins Cathy to talk faith, feminism and motherhood in this week’s This Spiritual Life. On the 15th Anniversary of the Arab Spring, the Scottish – Arab aid worker Mariem Omari has written a play - Revolution Days - giving her witness testimony to that remarkable and historic event. And TV reviewer Scott Bryan reviews the screenwriter, Russell T Davies', brand new drama for Channel 4 – Tip Toe, starring Alan Cumming and David Morrisey. Cathy’s Faith Forum panel are this week ANEEL SINGH BHOPAL - Member of Sikh community in Glasgow who works within the charity sector; MONA SIDDIQUI - Professor of Religion and Society at Kings College in London and DANIEL GILIUS, a Muslim who works for an anti racism organisation. Together they’ll dissect some of the week’s headlines from a faith and ethical perspective including the tragic murder of Henry Nowak, and the issues this complex case threw up, such as policing, attitudes to racism, and ceremonial weapons. Alan Milburn, the politician who conducted a report into youth opportunity warned of a 'lost generation' due to unemployment on a massive scale. The panel reflect on how our young people can realistically thrive against this backdrop. And what’s to be done about our attention spans? A report found a third of time on our phones has no clear purpose, and even the latest Toy Story movie’s storyline depicts the competition the toys face against the children’s devices. Our panel endeavour to get our attention back. If they can stay off their phones long enough….
