Easter from the Isle of Man

Daily Service

Available for 28 days

From the Isle of Man’s Niarbyl Bay, today's Daily Service invites us to the water’s edge to reflect on encounters with the risen Jesus. With readings from St John’s Gospel, we hear how the disciples met Christ on the shore, and consider what it means to recognise God’s presence in our own lives today. Through music, including the traditional Manx melody “Arrane Ghelbee,” and contributions from local voices, the service explores faith, doubt, and the courage to ask, “Is that you, God?” As the sound of sea and story intertwine, we’re encouraged to listen, to recognise, and to accept the invitation to “come and have breakfast” with Christ in the everyday moments of life. Led by Judith Ley with contributions from Pioneer Minister Alex Brown, Phil Gawne and Rev Dr Janet Corlett Reading: John 21 1-6, 10-12 Music: Jesus calls us o'er the tumult (St Andrew) - St Martin's Voices Arrane Ghelbee (The Song of Dalby) - Charles Guard Padjer Columb Killey (Prayer of St Columba) - Marlene Maska & Dilys Sowrey Arr: Dr Fenella Bazin Producer: Andrew Earis
