‘Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This Friday night, Soweto is joined by special guest, pioneering British vocalist and lyricist Norma Winstone. Over the past five decades and counting, Norma has been a leading figure in UK jazz, and is internationally celebrated for her expansive and versatile vocal style, which often offers a masterclass in improvisation. She has worked with peers and fellow jazz legends including Kenny Wheeler, Michael Garrick, and John Taylor, and has inspired musicians from across the generations. Her latest project, a duo album with pianist Kit Downes titled Outposts of Dreams is out now.
