Helen Mark MBE presents BBC Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine this week alongside Rab Lennox and Willie Hill. Rab catches up with Drum Majors Jamie and Harry Cupples. Jamie was crowned the 2026 Adult World Champion at the Worlds in Glasgow this month - while his younger brother won the Junior title! Helen unravels a fascinating story in the company of Lisa Guyselman, a descendant of Alexander Chesney, born near Ballymena in 1756 before heading across the pond to take part in the American War of Independence. Lisa shares details of Chesney's journal, taking us from leaving Larne right up to the battlefield - and back home. Meanwhile, Willie visits a village in Co. Antrim to learn about a very old ‘tummlin’’ Bridge which deserves a little attention, especially given it's connection to a local legend....
