We've come up with some ideas, but feel free to Do One Thing of your own. Here are our favourites:

	I pledge to do the following at home:
	improve my loft insulation - I can get a grant and it will save me money
	check my food for food miles
	never wash up in the kitchen sink under a running tap - I will plug it or use a bowl
	change all my light bulbs for low-energy ones - it'll save money too
	make a trip a fortnight to my nearest recycling area - I will get rid of the plastic and other waste that would otherwise have gone into landfill
	do more composting
	start a wormery
	switch off TVs, videos, DVD players at the plug - standby uses as much electricity as having the device fully switched on
	turn off computer-network routers when not in use
	check my electricity, gas and water suppliers are the "greenest" possible - I will switch if they are not
	turn the thermostat down a couple of degrees - I won't notice the difference until the gas/electricity bill arrives
	take quick showers instead of baths
	put a brick in my toilet cistern to reduce the amount of water it uses with each flush
	use recyclable batteries
	go through the cupboards and replace chemical cleaners with greener alternatives
	call in an auditor to check my carbon footprint and then pay to offset my emissions
