Welcome to the nomination form for the Food Innovation Award in the BBC Food & Farming Awards 2026.
We’ve encountered so many challenges with our food system over the past few years – from international conflict and food insecurity, to the impact of our diets on the environment, to the health of the nation. But we’ve also seen huge enthusiasm for positive action, to improve things and find innovative solutions to the problems we face in relation to food.
Here, we celebrate the businesses, organisations and people working to make a difference: whether through ground-breaking tech that will help feed the world in the years to come; pioneering models for healthy eating or methods of production that will lessen our impact on the planet.Tell us about the ideas, initiatives and innovations that are going to change the future of our food.
This award was previously won by Disco Scallops (2025), Groundswell (2024), The Alexandra Rose Charity (2023), TasteEd (2022), Flour to the People (2021) and the Award was previously named the Future Food Award and was won by Mossgiel Farm (2019), Hands Free Hectare (2018), Growing Underground (2017) and Our Cow Molly, Sheffield (2016.)
