Welcome to the nomination form for the Countryfile Young Countryside Champion in the BBC Food & Farming Awards 2026.
Countryfile wants to celebrate young countryside champions aged between 16-24 across the UK. You could be a young farmer looking to the future and how you farm to adapt to the challenges facing the industry, a young naturalist involved in helping to save wildlife in your area, an eco-hero committed to the environment, or your mission might be to open up the great outdoors to as wide an audience as possible. There are so many exciting projects happening in our countryside with so many young innovative people at the helm and it’s time to celebrate them.
For this award, nominees aged 16–17 must be nominated with the consent of a parent or guardian. Self-nomination is only open to those aged 18–24.
Nominations can be made from 6am on Friday 22 May 2026 until the closing date of Monday 15 June 2026 at 12.00pm.
