1. Simple Risk Assessment
Having listened to feedback following our launch on the use of our risk assessment module we have
now removed the Hazards and Controls Library from the Risk Assessment module to make Risk
Assessments more manageable. From 15th July 2026 when you write a risk assessment all boxes in the
Hazard section are free text, with a limit of 20,000 characters, and can be fully edited by the Creator
and Approver in their respective stages.

1. New incident categories:
Security and Safeguarding have been added in to the form
2. Assurances:
'Save Draft' message has been added at the top of the page to avoid loss of work due to a timeout on the page
3. Third Party Vetting:
Notification now in place to safety teams every time a new TPV record is created
4. Inspections:
Notification now in place to inform Additional Editors when Inspections are completed
5. Updated:
Help Links with the Gateway FAQs and A-Z guidance pages have been added
1. Incidents:
Near-miss question has been updated so near misses aren’t logged as incidents in dashboards
IP body map has been updated to add knee and elbow to affected body parts
Introduction of a filter for bbc.com user created Incidents where the organisation is not BBC Studios and the opposite
2. Assurances:
Opened up Commissioners Assurance to all users and renamed it to Commissioners Independent Production Company Assurance
3. Help Menu Updates:
Safety Hub FAQ document has been added
Link to A-Z guidelines added in

Whitelisting option removed; mobile app option added
2. Inspections:
Following question: Do any VESDA Gas Suppression panels have alerts/alarms present? has been reworded to: Are any VESDA gas suppression panels present, clear of alerts/alarms?
3. Risk Assessments:
Were showing as closed on "the morning of" the end date not at the end of the day. We have changed the setting to go to the end of the day
4. BBC Workplace/Facilities Management only:
Description added to the "Is this a Facilities Management Action?"
