Keir Starmer resigned just two years after his landslide election victory.

The British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has resigned, ending months of speculation about his future, just two years after his landslide election victory. He remains as caretaker until a new Labour Party leader is chosen by early September. His main rival, Andy Burnham, has confirmed he will stand for the party leadership. We head outside Parliament to speak to voters and foreign correspondents. Our political correspondent explains what happens next.
