Iranian drones targeting ships in Strait of Hormuz shot down

US and Iran indicate movement towards peace deal

The US military says its forces have shot down a number of Iranian drones targeting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The latest flare-up comes within hours of Washington and Tehran both indicating they were inching towards a peace agreement. Senior US administration officials said a text was close to being agreed.
