IMF loan for Ghana approved

IMF's executive board has approved a $3bn three-year loan programme for Ghana.

The International Monetary Fund's executive board has approved a $3bn three-year loan programme for the Government of Ghana. The country has been battling its worst economic crisis in a generation.

Eleven women in Burundi have left the airport in Bujumbura, destined for Saudi Arabia. It's part of a government-backed initiative aimed at curbing illegal workers' migration.

Human rights advocates in Malawi say the government is forcibly moving refugees to an overcrowded camp near Lilongwe. Last year, a High Court judge dismissed the refugees’ appeal against the decision.
