Chad rebel groups at Central African Republic border

The French public radio service, RFI, has reported that two Chadian rebel groups appeared in the Central African Republic near the two countries' common border. The RFI said the rebel groups emerged after a deadly crackdown on anti-governments protests that rocked Chad in October of 2022.

The UN’s Humanitarian Chief, Martin Griffiths, has told the BBC he has asked Sudan’s rival military leaders to meet him face-to-face to discuss urgent protection for the delivery of aid. He spoke to our Chief International Correspondent, Lyse Doucet, just after he visited Port Sudan on Sudan’s Red Sea Coast.
