Zimbabwe’s Stella Chiweshe, who was internationally known for her singing and playing the mbira, has been laid to rest in Harare.
Zimbabwe musician Stella Chiweshe, who died recently at the age of 76, has been laid to rest in Harare. A journalist who knew her well pays tribute to the singer who was also known as the ‘Mbira Queen’ for her playing of the traditional Shona thumb piano.
