Angola’s João Lourenco takes a second oath of office

Angola’s president, João Lourenço, has been sworn in for a second term after narrowly winning the country's tightest elections. The main opposition party, UNITA, had disputed the results in court, but their appeal was rejected.

Kenya’s new president, William Ruto, has started his term in office by removing some fuel subsidies.
