The first shipment of Ukrainian grain to reach Africa since the war disrupted supply lines has arrived in Djibouti, and will be taken to Ethiopia.
The first shipment of Ukrainian grain to reach Africa since the war disrupted supply lines has arrived in Djibouti, and will be taken to Ethiopia. The vessel MV Brave Commander arrived in the East African country carrying 23,000 tonnes of wheat.
Plus, the authorities in Borno State in Nigeria have launched a school enrolment drive aimed at children whose education has been disrupted by the Boko Haram insurgency, which has displaced millions of people.
And Kenya’s Supreme Court has ordered a recount of some ballot boxes from the presidential election earlier this month, following a request on behalf of defeated candidate Raila Odinga.
