
Angola: Ruling MPLA ahead in vote count
Vote counting is nearly over in Angola, as initial results show President Joao Lourenco's ruling party MPLA leading by 51%.
In Angola, the vote counting is about to close after the general elections. Early results suggest the governing MPLA party, which has led the country for close to five decades, will extend its rule.
Also, fighting has escalated in northern Ethiopia, between the government and Tigray forces despite worsening humanitarian crisis.
And in Ivory Coast, a tech company in Ivory Coast has invented the first locally made smartphone, and also helps people who cannot read or write.
