After more than eight months, the UN has facilitated the release of some Tigrayans from detention camps in Semera – the capital of the Afar region. The UN says this operation will continue for a couple of weeks.
Also on the program, as Kenya’s president-elect William Ruto is forging ahead with creating a new government, while the opposing coalition of Raila Odinga maintained its challenge to the presidential election results.
Plus, in Tanzania, high speed internet can now be accessed on the slopes of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro– thereby allowing climbers to send selfies from a height of nearly 9,000 metres.
