
4 Kenya electoral commissioners disown election results
Four out of seven electoral commissioners have denounced the Kenyan election results, a decision runner up candidate Raila Odinga supports
Kenya’s ex-Prime Minister Raila Odinga has declared the election results as null and void. The runner up candidate’s position is in line with four electoral commissioners who do not agree with the announcement by the head of the electoral commission Wafula Chebukati, in declaring Vice President William Ruto, as the winner of the poll.
Also on the programme, in Angola we speak to the only female candidate in the upcoming elections; seeking to find out what the pressing issues are for Angola’s citizens, as the country gears up to hold its fifth multiparty elections next Wednesday.
And we head to Mali, where France has declared that its last soldiers based on the Gao military camp has left. This effectively puts an end to 9 years military operation. Economist Dominique Yamb Ntima tells us what this would mean for the sahel region.
