The Kenyan electoral authority has declared Deputy President William Ruto winner of the election after a massive campaign that had the two main candidates almost neck and neck.
The Kenyan electoral authority has declared Deputy President William Ruto as winner of the presidential election according to the IEBC after a massive campaign that had the two main candidates almost neck and neck. The much awaited announcement had previously been thrown into disarray by chaos at the podium if the National Tally Centre. The IEBC seems to be divided on the election results.
Plus, Zambian television and radio presenter Dingindaba Jonah Buyoya the winner of the 2022 BBC News Komla Dumor Award. At 25 Dingindaba is the youngest winner of this prestigious award, and also the first from Southern Africa. The award was created to honour Komla Dumor, a presenter for the BBC who died suddenly aged 41 in 2014.
