
'Half of a Yellow Sun' Director Biyi Bandele dies at 54
The prolific author directed the film adaptation of the acclaimed novel “Half of a Yellow sun” by Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has died at age 54.
Nigerian playwright, author, and filmmaker Biyi Bandele, who has died suddenly at the age of 54. The prolific author directed the acclaimed novel “Half of a Yellow sun” by famed Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Half of a Yellow Sun starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Thandie Newton.
Also, polls in Kenya have closed with counting of votes underway. Kenyans have cast their ballots to vote for a new president, to replace outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta, whose second and final five-year term is drawing to a close.
