Kenyans cast their vote for a new president

Kenyan voters are electing a new president to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta, whose second and final five- year term draws to a close.

The Kenyan election reports suggest that the electoral process has been peaceful, although there have been of delays and problems with voter registration systems in some parts of the country.

Also on the program, we pay tribute to Nigerian playwright, author, and filmmaker Biyi Bandele, who has died suddenly at the age of 54. He directed the film adaptation of the acclaimed novel “Half of a Yellow sun” by Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
