Uganda’s Karamjong region at risk of acute hunger

It is estimated around half a million people are facing acute hunger in Uganda’s Karamoja region.

People within the Karamoja region of Uganda are experiencing major food shortages, with estimates that nearly half-a million people are facing acute hunger. What is the World Food Programme doing to help them?

And the director general of Ghana's Health Service confirms that two patients have died from the Marburg virus in the southern Ashanti region and says the highly infectious disease is deadly with a mortality rate of up to 90%.
