
Increased tensions between Sudan and Ethiopia
Sudan will not be "frightened or back away," the Sudanese military leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan says.
Sudan has closed the border-crossing with Ethiopia and has accused its neighbour of executing seven Sudanese soldiers. Ethiopia has denied any role in the border killings. Military leader General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan says Sudan will not be "frightened or back away."
The UN has called for an independent inquiry into the deaths of several migrants at the Moroccan border with Spanish enclave of Melilla.
And young Ghanaians hold two days of protests to vent their anger over rising prices.
