Former Africa CDC head begins global HIV/Aids role
Cameroonian Dr. John Nkengasong now leads the US President's Emergency Plan for Aids Relief.
The former director of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, Cameroonian virologist Dr. John Nkengasong, has a new role as lead coordinator of PEPFAR, the US initiative on HIV and Aids. He says he will still be serving Africa.
More than 700 people made up of Rwandan former combatants and their families are resettling in the country following rehabilitation and training.
