No-one found in Burkina Faso mine’s safe chamber
Rescue crews have reached a safe chamber in the flooded Burkina Faso mine, but missing miners were not found.
Rescue crews in Burkina Faso say they have not found any survivors in a chamber deep inside a zinc mine. Eight miners have been missing for more than a month after they became trapped when the mine flooded.
The World Bank issues a $300m grant to Ethiopia for reconstruction in conflict areas.
And a new study finds that mosquito bites happen frequently during the day, and not just at night.
