The UN Secretary General António Guterres has been on a three-day tour of West Africa. It was his first visit to the continent in two years.
He speaks to Focus on Africa about the jihadist insurgency in the Sahel, the widespread drought that is affecting many countries, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and whether these important issues are being overshadowed by the war in Ukraine.
