Relief efforts continue in KwaZulu-Natal

Survivors of South Africa’s worst floods face the loss of loved ones, homes, schools and churches.

Thousands of people in Durban, South Africa's third most populous city, have been displaced by the devastating floods that followed days of heavy rainfall.

Mali's foreign minister rejects that the military and Russian mercenaries killed hundreds of civilians in cold blood, and says the allegations are part of “a smear campaign”.

And Nigeria has the green light to buy nearly $1bn worth of US military hardware.
