South Africa approves the use of a silicone ring to stem HIV
South Africa has approved the use of the Dapivirine silicone for women over 18.
South Africa has taken a significant step in attempting to reduce the risk of HIV infections by approving the Dapivirine vaginal silicone ring for women aged 18 and over.
A new report by Human Rights Watch says that dozens of people in Rwanda have been harassed, threatened, or prosecuted for holding critical opinions about the government.
And, a new special music academy opens in The Gambia.
