Zambia is observing seven days of national mourning following the passing of the country's fourth President Rupiah Banda. He died at his home on Friday after a two year battle with colon cancer. A state funeral will be held on Thursday ahead of his burial on Friday.
The Ukrainian Embassy in South Africa says hundreds of South Africans have been asking how they can go and help fight against Russia. On day nineteen of the Russian invasion of Ukraine fighting across many regions continues. There has been ongoing shelling in the cities of Kyiv and Kharkiv and hundreds are still trying to flee.
