Kenya court rules it can hear case involving British Army

Residents of Lolldaiga in Laikipia had sued the British army over fire at wildlife sanctuary.

A court in Kenya has ruled that British soldiers accused of causing a huge fire at a wildlife reserve do not have sovereign immunity, and that it has jurisdiction to hear the case brought by residents of Lolldaiga community in Laikipia.

The contracts of some Chelsea footballers, including some top stars from Africa, could be in jeopardy after the Club’s Russian owner, Roman Abramovich, is sanctioned by the British government for his links to the Kremlin.

And Senegal sees honey production rise by more than 20 percent over the last decade.
