Ugandan author Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has been detained, says lawyer

Kakwenza Rukirabashaija is being held and no reason given for his arrest, lawyer says.

Ugandan author Kakwenza Rukirabashaija, who won a prestigious prize this year for courageous writing, has been detained by police his lawyer has confirmed.

The eldest daughter of the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu says the strength of feeling and love shown for her father has been overwhelming.

And Sudanese film director Suzannah Mirghani and South African film producer Siphokazi Jonas on why they got involved with the Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival.
