Authorities in Burkina Faso say children aged 12 to 14 made up most of an armed group that carried out a massacre in a village.
A government spokesperson has said children and adolescents made up the bulk of an armed group that killed at least 100 people in an attack on a village in northeast Burkina Faso earlier this month but eyewitnesses contradict the official account.
