South Africa: New budget presented amidst high unemployment

South Africa’s Minister of Finance Tito Mboweni has presented his budget to parliament, as the country grapples with a dire economic situation complicated by Covid-19. The South African economy shrank by 7% last year, and unemployment stands at 32%.
