Somali security forces end al-Shabab hotel siege

The Islamist militant group had set off a bomb outside a hotel in the capital city, Mogadishu.

Islamist militant group al-Shabab says it was responsible for the deadly attack on a Mogadishu hotel on Sunday. Somali security forces brought the siege to an end after a nine-hour gun battle.

Plus South Africa's former President Jacob Zuma has said he will not appear before a commission investigating corruption during his presidency.
