
Rwanda: Kigali placed in 15-day lockdown

A 15-day lockdown has been imposed by the authorities in Rwanda’s capital Kigali. The decision was taken in light of a second wave of coronavirus cases that has caused "unprecedented deaths and transmission rates”. Officials say 61% of Rwanda’s new Covid-19 cases since the new year have been recorded in Kigali.
