Polls draw to a close in Uganda’s tense election

Ugandans have been voting in presidential and parliamentary elections.

Long Synopsis: Ugandans have been voting in a general election which saw heavy security deployments, logistical hiccups and a widespread internet shutdown. Youthful candidate Bobi Wine is among ten candidates challenging incumbent President Yoweri Museveni, who's been in office for nearly thirty-five years. The lead up to today’s polls have been marred by violence.
