Previewing Uganda’s presidential election

We get an update from Uganda, where presidential elections are happening next week. The campaign has been marred by violent incidents, and the authorities are also warning people not to congregate at polling stations, after voting, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. On Friday, 49 members of opposition candidate Bobi Wine’s campaign team were charged with criminal offences.
