Barnsley chippy owner in portrait fit for a Queen
Barnsley chip shop owner Pindy Kaur has been recognised with a portrait as part of an exhibition celebrating the contribution independent businesses make in their local communities.
The portrait is by artist Nicky Philipps who painted the late Queen Elizabeth II on several occasions in 2013, 2016 and 2018.
The exhibition, Local Royalty, will be open to the public from 28 October to 1 November 2026 at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
